Inter railing, Europe 1st-21st July 2014: Belgium.

Next Stop: Belgium

We couldn't wait for Belgium. Even though it was only for one day, We were going to the Rock Werchter festival which had us really excited. We were up so early but that was mostly because I wanted to see The 1975 and they were the first act playing on the main stage.
We made our way as quick as we could from the train station to our hostel 'The Cube Hostel'. When we got there we were greeted with Champagne and the staff were so nice .The interior of this hostel was amazing. I think it was only recently finished and thats why they had the champagne. We made our way to our room. The others weren't too pushed about seeing The 1975 so they didn't want to head to the festival yet but Becca my Bestest Friend, got ready and headed there with me trying to get us there on time.
When we finally arrived after what felt like the longest bus journey ever, we made our way to the main stage. Unfortunately they had already began there set but we could hear them the whole walk around to the entrance, I couldn't help but sing along. When we went through the entrance and got our wrist bands, we ran towards the main stage. The music was getting louder and louder. I was so Excited now I could actually see them playing. We missed most of the songs but we got to see three be preformed which was amazing. I was so unbelievably happy to see them play and theres no one else I would have rathered be there with, I owe Becca so much for coming with me. I Frickin' love that girl so much. She really is the Best Friend Ever.
After they had finished playing, We went to look for Becca's friend Loic, who was also at the festival. When we found him we converted our money into tokens and got some Drinks. We all got beer which was really nice might I add but unfortunately I can't remember the name of it. We sat down on the grass and took in the atmosphere. The excitement, the music it was so incredible.
After a while the others turned up. It was great just sitting around chatting and having fun with everyone, and the weather was Beautiful. We then got up to go see Ellie Goulding on the main stage and as always she was outstanding. We all had a little boogie listening to her then we headed to one of the tents to see Foster The People and had another little dance in there. After a while Becca, Loic and I headed back the main stage because Poalo Nutini was to be preforming next. When he came on we sat on the grass and enjoyed his music, His voice is truely magical. There was a moment during his song when me and becca where singing and swaying along and it began to rain, I felt like I was in a movie or something. Just before Paolo finished his set we made our way down the the barrier to get closer because the Arctic Monkeys were Playing next and we all couldn't wait to see them. they took awhile to come on stage and the sun had started to go down. Loads of people had come to see them preform we were stuck dead in the middle. Evenutally they came on, it was amazing. They are great at preforming and Alex Turner is just the coolest.
Becca and I made our way home because we were both exhausted and needed our beds. When we got back to the hostel we fell asleep as soon as our heads hit the pillow. The Day was so amazing and we got to see some unbelievable artists play. I'd definitely go again. The atmosphere was just so incredible that you couldn't not be happy.

Inter railing, Europe 1st-21st July 2014: Amsterdam.

First Stop: Amsterdam.

Amsterdaaammn, the perfect start to an amazing trip. So much to do and see, we were always kept busy. If I had to pick my favourite part (which is very hard) I'd have to say, The pedal-boats. It was just so much fun pedaling around the canal with my friends and you get to see the beautiful historical architecture of Amsterdam. It was just a great experience and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Another great part of Amsterdam are its parks. There is the one in front of the IAMsterdam sign and then there's Vondel Park. The Park in front of the sign was a great place to sit and chill because it was nearer our hostel and you can watch people take pictures and climb on top of the sign. There's the water features around the park that make it even more beautiful. Vondel Park is better for an Amsterdammer experience. There are so many people sitting around having BBQ's and having a few drinks with their friends and you dont feel in danger or unsafe you feel very comfortable and welcome. I looked it up out of interest and I read that "Amsterdam ranks 22 out of 215 world cities for personal saftey. Cities like London and Paris Don't even make the top 50, 'that just shows you'. Vondel Park is so big also that there's always something new to see and it is 'de' place for working out. There are people everywhere doing exercise. I saw people cheerleading, doing martial arts, yoga, and roller blading. If you can think of it I saw it. While we where there we saw artwork around the park (can't remember why thought). It was great trying to get around see them all.
Another must see is obviously the Anne Frank museum. It is incredible, such an interesting yet sad history. It's Just amazing to see and walk through the house, certainly one of the highlights of the trip.
Well that was pretty much all we had time to do in Amsterdam, so I guess all I can say for now is
'Amsterdam', Thank you for a unforgetable time and .. ill be back!
